A college is set to celebrate the unveiling of its brand new £64 million campus by hosting a community day for residents. Walsall College will offer visitors a sneak preview of the state-of-the-art Wisemore Campus before it officially opens to students in September. The community day will be held on July 18, from 11am until 5pm and will offer visitors the chance to have a first-look at the facilities open to the public including the college salon; gym and restaurant. Activities on the community day including bouncy castles; an assault course; a bucking bronco; a bungee trampoline and a climbing wall. Entertainment will be provided by Beacon Radio and the Thunder Crew. Amarjit Basi, principal and chief executive of Walsall College, said: “We are all extremely excited to mark the completion of the build of our new Wisemore Campus with a Community Day. “It is an ideal opportunity to welcome Walsall College staff, students and members of the wider community to the new facilities and get them all together for a day of fun and celebration. “We hope that the new campus will be at the very heart of Walsall’s community and that we will become known, not just as Walsall College, but Walsall’s College.” |
