Supporters Trust Column by Neil Ravenscroft Well, all good things have to come to an end and 18 games without a defeat was a pretty impressive record. However, there are still some consolations to be had following Tuesday night’s defeat at Millwall. The run has filled the youngsters in the side with confidence, but the strains of playing two games a week were beginning to show, not just with a lengthy injury list, but also with some individual performances beginning to suffer. For that reason, I’m not that disappointed to have gone out of the cup, especially as we did not pick out a money-spinner in Round 4. Now, if we were missing out on Old Trafford, that might be different! We are still, as I write, waiting for the Danny Fox saga to conclude, as well as finding out whether one satellite TV channel’s predictions of a £1.1million bid for Scott Dann from Wolves ever happens. If any resources do come into the club, let’s hope that they are given to Money to invest, with Michael Ricketts being priority number one. |
