Brownhills Musical Theatre Company will be performing Billy Liar at the Lichfield Garrick from April 29-May 2. The show tells the story of Billy Fisher as he lies and dreams his way through life. He juggles three girlfriends (two of them fiancees) while fantasising about a life in Hollywood, a career on Broadway and a job as script writer to the stars. Living in a Yorkshire town Billy finds little encouragement for his aspirations - least of all from his boss at the undertakers. The show is billed as having 'lots of comedy and a lively music score'. Billy is played by Timothy Gough, aged 21. Tickets are £10-£16 from 01543 412121. |
